On 17 September 2014 a total of seven Sheltered Housing Schemes in Yardley District won awards at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Its your Neighbourhood Awards at Henley in Arden. The schemes were Manor Court ,Needwood and Rayleigh House,Pemberley Road, Radley Court, St Mary’s Close, Wheeldon House and the Yew Tree. Twenty six residents from the East Quadrant attended the event and everyone was encouraged and gained ideas for future improvements.
